    As a design principle, we typically use Ohio-native shrubs on commercial properties, as they thrive in our climate and soil conditions. The Ninebark is a great option that is hardy and fast-growing, featuring pink-to-white spring flowers. The Spicebush is an understory shrub that blooms early in the season and bears bright yellow flowers and red berries. The Smooth Hydrangea produces massive blooms of rounded white flower heads. All of these options are great if you want a flowering bush outside of your Northwest Ohio custom metal building.  

  • What are the normal steps for site prep?

    What are the normal steps for site prep?  

    Typically, commercial building sites have a few steps, and the specifics will depend on your location, site, and plans. However, you can expect some surveying or planning, as well as soil testing, to ensure the ground can support the proposed building's weight. You will also need to clear the site, grade the site and complete soil compaction. You may also want to consider drainage ahead of the build, especially if you are building in the Ohio Valley or in a flood-prone area.  

  • How do you handle erosion during the building process?

    Our team are certified erosion experts, and have the experience and tools to handle weeks’ worth of rain. We generally install drainage systems to move water away from the building site and drainage channels to manage excess stormwater runoff. In rare cases, we will also install erosion fences or erosion-control blankets when working on a particularly challenging building site.
